The Market Place opened in January 1980 as a neighborhood sandwich shop, and it's my home away from home. In January 2020, on its 40th anniversary, I bought it from my mama.

We open at 8:30, Monday to Saturday. Start with the Bacon & Brie: crispy bacon, melted brie and scrambled eggs smothered in our housemade blackberry jalapeno jam on a buttery toasted croissant.

Lunch at The Market Place

Stopped in for a quick bite after a yoga class and was pretty hungry. I would not have known the Market Place was there if it weren't for the fitness classes next door. I had never eaten there before and did not get much in the way of suggestions, so I went with the most interesting looking breakfast item. The Bacon & Brie with Blackberry Jalapeno Jam (added an egg) was fantastic! I loved every bite, it was a very nice portion, and I will definitely be back to try other menu items.

I was in town for a class reunion and I visited the Market Place Restaurant for lunch. I can't find enough words to describe my awesome experience! I ordered their Market Place Roast Beef with bacon. LOVE The Market Place! Always consistent, my go-to’s are the Bacon Club & Chicken Salad sandwiches on croissants...but my newest fav is the pretzel with pimiento cheese 😋 so yummy, definitely add this place to your Breakfast/Lunch rotation. Oh, and the special tea is 💯

The chicken salad croissant sandwich is the best, I love to put their homemade coleslaw on it, amazing!! The Pinestraw Smoothie and a homemade chocolate chip cookie, perfect lunch for me!! Everyone is really nice. When I work days, this his where I go to treat myself to lunch.

Loved this Soup and Sandwich Combo with my choice of which Croissant Sandwich to choose. I usually go with the Southern Reuben, but thought the Bacon, Brie and Blackberry Jam with Jalapeños would go with the soup of the day, and it did! Delicious!!
